Who we are
SCORZ Gaming Arena, Main Road, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India. We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described here, under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Questions, corrections or complaints: scorzgames@gmail.com.
What we collect
Only what running the floor requires. Nothing is bought from third parties, and we do not track you across other websites.
- Name and phone number
- Given at the counter or in the app, to open an account and to send your verification code. The phone number is how we identify you.
- Email address
- Optional. Only if you give one.
- Gamer tag
- Optional. Shown on the public leaderboard and champion wall if you set one.
- Verification codes
- Stored only as an irreversible hash, never the code itself, and deleted automatically five minutes after they are issued.
- Play records
- Which station, start and end time, minutes bought, and extensions. This is what you paid for.
- Payment records
- Amount, method, and the gateway reference. We never see or store your card, UPI PIN, or bank credentials.
- Wallet and balances
- Top-ups and deductions, so your balance can be explained.
- Tournament results
- Entries, wins, streaks and placements. Your name or gamer tag may appear publicly on the leaderboard.
- Staff actions
- An audit log of what our own staff did — unlocks, discounts, refunds. This protects you as much as us.
We do not collect your location, your contacts, your photos, or anything from your device beyond what you type in. The station TVs on the floor hold no personal data at all.
Why we use it
To verify it is really you, to start and time your session, to take payment, to run tournaments and publish results, to answer you when you contact us, and to keep the records tax and consumer law require. We use it for nothing else.
We send you WhatsApp messages for verification codes and station unlocks because you asked us to start a session. Promotional messages are separate: those go only to people who opted in, and every one of them can be stopped by replying STOP or telling us at the counter.
Who else sees it
Four processors, each doing one job, and no one else. We do not sell personal data. We never have.
- Meta (WhatsApp Cloud API)
- Delivers your verification code. Receives your phone number and the code.
- Google Firebase
- Verifies your phone number when you sign in to the app.
- Cashfree Payments
- Processes payments. Handles your payment details directly; we receive only the result.
- Google Cloud and MongoDB Atlas
- Host the system and the database.
We will also disclose data where the law requires it — a court order, a tax authority, or a police investigation.
Where it is kept, and for how long
Our servers run in Google Cloud’s Mumbai region. Some processors above operate globally, so your data may be processed outside India by them.
Verification codes last five minutes. Account, play, payment and tournament records are kept while your account is open, and for up to eight years after it closes where tax law requires it. Anything not legally required is deleted when you ask.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you, and who we have shared it with;
- correct or complete anything that is wrong;
- delete your data — see how to delete your data;
- withdraw consent you previously gave, including for promotional messages;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated;
- complain to us first, and then to the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve it.
Write to scorzgames@gmail.com from the email or phone number on your account. We answer within 30 days.
Children
Players under 18 need a parent or guardian’s consent, given at the counter, before we open an account. We do not show them advertising or track their behaviour for marketing.
Keeping it safe
Access to customer data is limited to staff who need it, and every staff action on an account is logged. Verification codes are stored only as hashes. Traffic to our servers is encrypted. No system is perfect — if a breach ever affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will post the new version here with a new date, and tell you on WhatsApp or at the counter before it takes effect.
